Most corporate functions fail musically in one of two directions. A playlist over the house system leaves the room flat and nobody stays past nine. A band at full volume kills the conversation the event was organised to create.
A solo performer who has done thousands of these solves both. The level moves with the room, the set moves with the crowd, and nobody from your leadership team has to come over and ask for it to be turned down.
